Hello! My name is Rob Schassler; I have recently embarked on a new career journey as a data analyst. Previously, I have worked as an educator at both the high school and college levels. I bring a great deal of valuable and transferrable professional skills from this experience. For example, interpersonal skills and leadership abilities, as well as being comfortable with organizational or logistical tasks, like enacting plans to meet long term goals. I also excel at both written and verbal communication with strong storytelling capabilities, such as constructing narratives to convey messaging from analysis insight and results. In short, I can adapt from handling technical procedural details of an analysis project, to broader duties like being an effective leader, communicator, or organizer.
Additionally, I am proficient in a variety of analytics methodologies including predictive modeling, statistical testing, and geospatial mapping; and within a variety of applications such as SQL and Python. I am adept and comfortable with all steps in the analytical process. In particular this includes tasks ranging from the beginning stages of sourcing and wrangling data, along with preparatory procedures related to addressing data consistency and integrity, to exploratory correlation analyses and statistical hypothesis testing, through to the final stages like creating dashboards and consolidating results to communicate insights or recommendations to stakeholders.
Please see my portfolio and selected case study--as well as my github repositories--for a more complete representation of my technical capabilities.
Thank you!
